Purpose
To act as a resource for parents, to assist the teachers and to coordinate
events.

Costumes
First year dancers in the Beginners group may wear any type of short black
skirt and white shirt for the parade, shows or feisanna.  Skirts can be
purchased from JC Penney’s, Target, Kohl’s, etc.  If interested, first year
dancers and beginners are welcome to purchase school costumes as well.

Second year dancers and anyone from the level of Advance Beginners on up
is expected to have either a school jumper or dress dependent upon their
age.

Prize Winners and Championship dances are welcomed and encouraged to
buy their own individual dresses to suit their style and taste.

Dancers interested in buying or selling used school costumes or dancers
that need to be fitted for new school costumes, please contact Teree
Brennan.  If you purchase a used school costume, the teachers must give
approval on the fit before you purchase.  There needs to be a minimum of five
orders before the dressmaker will schedule a fitting.

Shoes
Beginning dancers in the group are to wear soft shoes or ghillies and
poodle socks for practice and performances.  Dance shoes are available at
a reasonable cost via the vendors on our
links page or at feisanna.

Teachers will instruct the dancers when it is time for them to buy hard
shoes.  These shoes are again available at the sites listed on our
links page,
but for growing feet and the cost of new hard shoes it is recommended that
dancers buy shoes in person when measured by professional shoe makers at
feisanna.

Anyone interested in buying or selling used hard shoes, please contact
Bridgett Glanz @
glanzfamily@comcast.net or 302-892-2848.

Headbands and Scrunchies
All dancers not in school costumes (i.e. white shirts and black skirts) must
wear a school headband or scrunchie at performances.  These items may be
purchased through Beth Burke @
baldburke@yahoo.com or 302-655-7884 at
a cost of $10 per item.

Shows and Events
Any community, school or church organizations interested in having the
McHugh School of Irish Dance perform may contact either Renee' or Teree.
The children enjoy sharing our culture with the community.  It is a great
experience for all.
